Let your voice be heard—help us create the best schedule for our students, families, and staff!

Good evening, Bulldog families. I have three reminders and announcements.
First, for tomorrow's Breakfast with Santa:
You may begin arriving with your child at 7:00 AM. Please do not park in the parking spaces in the front of the school from the flagpole to the end of the building where the cafeteria is located. Our buses cannot get through if there are cars parked in those spots. We will have sign-in sheets in the front hallway, one sheet for each class. We will need the parent or family member's name beside of your child's name on their class roster so they will be counted present for the day, and we will also need their lunch choice, so the cafeteria can begin preparing lunches. They will then go through the breakfast line to pick up breakfast and carry it to the gym. In the gym, the PTO will have muffins available for the adults. Santa will be there for you (and I) to take photos. The Santa Shop will also be open for shopping. Around 8:00, students should begin going to their classrooms. Please take the purchased items home with you at that point. Students who are not attending the breakfast with a family member will still have an opportunity to shop tomorrow. We will also have Santa stop by each classroom for a visit. On Thursday, students who bring money will have another opportunity to shop.
Tomorrow's movie, Inside Out 2, is a Positive Behavior Reward for our quarterly Positive Behavior Incentive System (PBIS). That means if a student has had a Bus Suspension, In-School Suspension, or Out-of-School Suspension this quarter, he or she is not eligible for the reward. They may also not be eligible if they have missed too many Fun Friday rewards during the quarter. While I would love for all students to be able to receive the reward, it is earned with good behavior choices.
If your child is not eligible this time, please talk with him or her about making good choices during the next quarter and earning the Positive Behavior Incentive for Quarter 3, which will be another fun activity I do not want them to miss out on! So far we have had a Glow Party and now a movie, both of which have been free to our students by making good behavior choices. Decreasing office referrals through better self-management is one of our school-wide goals this year. Offering Fun Fridays and quarterly reward activities are two ways we are trying to encourage your child to make good choices.
If you have any questions about this process, or if you do not want your child to participate in watching the movie, Inside Out 2, please contact me.
The movies in the classrooms this Friday morning, for our last day before break, will be a present to all students, accompanied by hot chocolate and popcorn from me. It is not a behavior reward, this time and the snack are gifts.
Also, we have three more themed dress-up days. Tomorrow is Dress Your Best for Santa. Thursday is Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. Friday is Pajama Day.
Thank you for your support and have a good evening.

Good evening, Bulldog families! Tomorrow is Wear Red Day. Also, we will be announcing the winning classes from our Food Drive. Thank you all for participating. Finally, we have another opportunity to help our neighbors in Western Carolina. We have a contact headed there next Friday who is working with Samaritan's Purse and is asking for donations of blankets, snoogins (also called toboggans) , and gloves. If you would like to donate, we will collect through Wednesday. Thank you so much!

Stokes County Schools will be on a 3 hour delay Tuesday Dec. 3rd, 2024.

Good evening, Bulldog families. We had so much fun walking the red carpet today as a part of Red Ribbon Week. Tomorrow is Day 2 of Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free. The theme is "I'm the author of my own script and I will make it a blockbuster." Students may dress as a character from a movie or as a writer/ filmmaker. Parents, it is a good time to let your kiddos wear an old Halloween costume one more time. I look forward to seeing them.
Also, don't forget about the coat drive going on until Friday, and items for your classroom baskets for the Fall Festival, which is this Friday. Have a great rest of your evening.

Good afternoon. I have three announcements- Bake Sale, Fundraiser pick up, and dress up days this week. Please listen for all. We had so many delicious baked goods that we are going to set up a bake sale at the front of the school this afternoon. You are welcome to pull in and buy some goodies as you pick up your students in the car rider line. If you are not a car pick up, but would like to stop by, please do so between 2:10 and 2:30. There are a few whole cakes or pies, but a lot of bagged cookies, cupcakes, cake slices, and other treats. Remember, all proceeds will go to the 4th and 5th grade Washington DC trip. In addition, I wanted to let you know our fundraiser items were delivered today. We will get those items sorted and ready for pick up tomorrow between 2:30 and 4:30 PM. Thank you so much for your patience. Finally, as it turns out, we will have two dress up days this week. We will move Purple Day to Wednesday, October 23 so wear purple like Prince and Thursday, October 24 will be the 50th day of School so we will have a 50s day! Pull out your Poodle Skirts, pink jackets or leather jackets, roll up your jeans, tie your ponytails high on your head or slick your hair back, and get ready to bop!

We have a lot of fun events planned for October! Color Days, Title I Reading Night, Red Ribbon Week, Halloween Parade, and the Fall Festival (November 1) and more!

Good evening, Bulldog families. I have four announcements for upcoming events this week. First, Fall pictures will be taken on Tuesday, October 1st. Be sure to send students with their best smiles. Second, we will hold a meeting on Thursday evening, October 3rd, at 6:30 PM for the families of students in fourth and fifth grades about details of the proposed field trip to Washington, DC. It is extremely important that anyone interested in the trip attend this meeting. Third, on Friday, October 4th, you are invited to join our kindergarten students in wearing pink! They will be hosting a series of color days and the first one if this Friday. Finally, in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, there are many of our Western North Carolina neighbors left without necessities. We will be working with Nickelston Fence Service to collect items they will deliver for us in two to three weeks. Look for information to come home this week about needed items. We want to help those who are in need and teach our students the importance of helping others. So, to recap- Picture Day Tuesday, 4th & 5th Meeting Thursday, Pink Day Friday and information about donations coming soon. Have a great rest of your evening,
